- Take down your Easy-Set Pool if you haven’t done so already. Make sure it is clean and dry when you put it away. There will be less work next time you put it up!
- Get rid of that old fridge in the garage; it is taking up too much electricity. Right now, in our area, our electric company has in incentive of free pickup and a $30 dollar rebate. We’re going to use the extra room for garage organization. (which is well needed!)
- Look at your family’s collection of rubber boots, snow boots, mittens, scarves, hats, snow pants. Make a list of what you need and keep it with you so the next time you’re at your local thrift store, you can find some used and for an affordable price. I got a pair of nice rubber boots for$3 and painted them pretty!
- Start collecting “gently used” gifts for Christmas and upcoming birthdays. Right now, I’m looking for Popular Books in good condition and scarves (either warm or pretty). I also have a notebook with a section for “Gifts” and I try to keep track of my intended birthday and Christmas gifts.
- Choose one area of a room that needs organizing and get it done. Believe it or not, we organized the fridge and baking pantry and labeled each shelf. My label maker is one of my favorite organizational tools. I, absolutely, threw a fit when it ran out of label tape in the middle of a project. (We got it at Costco years ago and it came with label tape and batteries; it was a good starter deal.)
- Organize your sock and underwear drawer. Throw away the ones with holes. (or keep the “holey”socks for dusting)
