Summer Time.

Summer Time.

So, if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know I had an obsession with the idea of canoeing in a red canoe. Preferably last fall when the leaves would have been red, orange, yellow, brown, etc. However, that dream did not happen. Early Summer we took the family with some other family: fun cousins. - to Silver Lake in Maple Falls, WA. We’ve been there before and we knew the price was right for renting a canoe. (I think it was around $8 for 1/2 hour or hour).

I’m so glad I was in the canoe with my very strong brother in-law and my niece. There was quite a strong current and at one point we went in circles about 4 times before we figured out how to maneuver the craft. The canoe was deep green which was beautiful. but I still have an obsession with red canoes.

Our family visited Larrabee State Park (B’ham, WA) a few months ago when the sun had just started visiting our ”neck of the woods.” Needless to say, we gloriously took it in.

Free Junkie Fridays – Bike Ride Pictures through the Lynden City Park

A Bike Ride through our one-of-a-kind town, Lynden, Washington can be so fun and it’s FREE!
We love RED tractors and one of Terry’s neighbors collects them in many sizes and shows them in the annual downtown parades.
Beautiful Days are FREE and a gracious gift from Our God.
We cycled through our City Park and stopped to visit with some ducks who came right up to our feet (probably hoping for some food).

The Park trail follows a creek and this wonderful Gazebo sits alongside the trail for a rest in the shade ( I suppose you could have a Free event (small wedding or ???) in this gazebo.
This street lamp has a lot of personality.
We watched while a boy fished and caught several small fish. This small pond sits in Homestead Golf Course where the Park Trail continues right beside it.
(Our bike ride adventure continues in the previous post where we stumble on an Antique Garage Sale.)
