It only takes a few minutes to cut an envelope shape out of oilcloth and sew around the edges to make an adorable love note holder! Then I cut out a heart shape from Kraft Paper and Vintage Material and embroidered “Be Mine.” One final step was to glue small velcro pieces as a closure for the oilcloth envelope.
For this card, I embroidered “I love you” on mini quilt squares and then sewed them on my card. Then I cut out a brown bag envelope and sewed that.
A few weeks ago I was in desperate need of Spring Hope. So, my daughter and I planted some Basil, Cilantro and Parsley in this cute pot on the dining table. Within a week I had sprouts and there are freezing temperatures outside. What hope these sprouts have done for me! A little Hope goes a long way…as does a little faith. Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.

Show someone you are thinking of them; in small ways!
…a mini card made out of a paper bag and mini quilt squares in Valentine Colors!
I love the look, feel and authenticity of brown paper bags. I’m sewing them into cards and envelopes…More coming soon!

I hope all of you have found a few moments of solitude at this busy time.

This year I tried something new and made Gingerbread Ornaments with a recipe found HERE! You’ll need to start the dough a few days ahead of when you plan to decorate them. I’m still searching for the perfect permanent icing recipe that will not take the wonderful spicey smell away from the ornaments…let me know if you have the perfect recipe!
