I found some beautiful New looking Rug samples at my Thrift Store. There were 5 triangular shaped samples. I knew I could do something with them and then after a few weeks I figured it out. (by the way, they were 59 cents each!)
I sewed them together – very carefully and my daughter had to help hold it because those rugs are heavy duty! My new hall runner is holding up beautifully!

This front arch was constructed for $7.60 out of some metal fencing purchased at a Steel place in B’ham and some 2 x 4′s and a staple gun. Talk about “cheap.” We needed something for the ever-growing abundant Wisteria to latch onto. Next spring and summer we should have a lavishly green Wisteria Arch framing our front door!

We needed a couple of bar stools for our Island in our Kitchen. But, as usual, we didn’t want to pay the going rate.
I found these perfect, backed, swivelly, Country Bar Stools at our local dump. I had to pay $10 for them; but it was still a deal! Then we started painting!
We painted them white and added some Red Garage Sale Cushions (each for 50 cents).
Next time, take a look around at your local dump and see what treasure awaits you!
I’ve been admiring Stylish Rubber Boots and I wanted some but not for the price of $20 or more! I decided to look for some Thrift Store Rubber Boots and Decorate them myself with some Paint!
We found these Black Rubber Boots at our local 2nd Chance Thrift Store for 2 and 3 dollars. They are the right size for me and my daughter.
We found these “Painters” at Walmart. We bought a multi-color pack; the pack was almost $10 which is spendy but we’re going to use them for other projects, too!
I used yellow and brown “painters” to paint sunflowers and my daughter used yellow and purples to paint cute designs on hers!
What do you think? You can do the same thing…polka dots or swirls would be fun to! Whatever floats your boat! or your boot!
