This has recently become one of my top favorite reads! I love Velva Jean and her dream to sing at the Grand Opry in Nashville. The novel begins when she is 10 years old. She has a big dream for a girl living in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia. Many obstacles come between her and her dream but she finds her way in the yellow truck…when she learns to drive!

a funny tidbit…Yes. You are seeing various past living rooms, kitchens, etc. We have moved every year or two the last 6 years. From when I started my blog, we have been in 4 different rental homes. Yikes! but it gives me lots of practise in patience and decorating :)
